More about us

Our history

Since the founding of the company in 1981 three generations have built the business to what it is today.
Our knowledge is stuck in the walls and the family spirit is everywhere, a successful combination which has formed the basis for our existing market position. 

  • 1981 – The company is started as a trading company in Norrköping focusing on welding & smiths work.
  • 1983 – The company is reformed to a limited company and a new welding and smiths work workshop is built.
  • 1990 – The Chesterton agency is accepted and the company starts working with coating and rotating equipment.
  • 2006 – The company acquires a real estate on Tenngatan 6 in Norrköping and builds a brand new office space, work shops and warehouse.
  • 2013 – A new welding, smith work and machine workshop is built next to the existing real estate on Tenngatan 6 in Norrköping meaning we now have 4500 square meters workshop space divided on two buildings.
  • 2016 – A pipe division is established in Oxelösund.
  • 2017 – SvetsMekano in Kisa is acquired resulting in 1000 square meters of workshop and staff to support a new geographical area.
  • 2018 – Inauguration of a new pipe workshop in Oxelösund.
  • 2019 – The Chesterton agency in Stockholm is taken over and the entire region of Stockholm County can benefit from our service and product offering.

We offer products and services which in turn gives our customers a safer operation. We always do follow-ups on our work input, making sure they have contributed to an improved overall economy in relation to products and services delivered.

All employees are together responsible in making sure delivered products and services fulfill expected quality levels. This applies for product quality as well as for services, pricing and delivery time.

Via goals, action plans and continuous follow-ups of our operations, we actively work to improve our environment and quality systems hence our own business.

We are of course ISO certified as per SS-EN ISO 9001:2015.

Active environmental focus

We work actively to minimize the environmental impact of our operational methods and ways of transporting. We also work with our customers, influencing them in making product investments that reduces the environmental impact related to emissions into air and waters, energy consumption and spare part consumption.

We follow all environmental laws and regulations relevant for our company and its operations. Research and development work within our line of business is also monitored, especially from an environmental perspective. This way we increase our expertise in the field and help reducing the environmental pollution even further.

We practice this environmental policy and make it mandatory for all employees, partners, suppliers and customers to understand and comply with. Our environmental improvement measures are presented annually including, but not limited to, environmental policy and goals including target achievements. 

We are of course ISO-certified as per SS-EN ISO 14001:2015.

Safe work environment

As part of our operations we are very employee centric with focus on a safe work environment.  It is in the interest of the company that all business units are run under good financial forms with high quality goals. Our work environment targets and standards are stretched to the limit with a mindset to also minimize our impact on the outer environment.

A good work environment is in everyone´s interest which gives our staff, the most important resource, increased well-being and thereby performs better. The goal is to create a safe work environment that offers our employees joy and a possibility to personally develop.

To reach set targets awareness and a great sense of responsibility is needed which is reflected in our safety work.

We are certification with safe work environment standard ISO 45001.


To work in a safe way has always been extremely important to us and is something we prioritize i all internal processes. To take the safety work to the next level we co-founded Doccit in 2018, a software company which provides a support system with focus on work environment and safety.

Our safety work is today a natural part of everything we do, from planning to performed work and includes all involved parties.

Before a project starts the responsible project manager makes a risk assessment which is attached to the project documentation. This documentation is then sent to the supervisor who plans the work. Our service technicians then perform the work accordingly after taking part of the project documentation. On site at the customer, the service technician performs continuous risk assessments i our company unique app which is then stored digitally and sent to the customer.

Should an incident occur, the same app is used to write an incident report and if needed also document everything with pictures. When the report is saved, it is simultaneously sent digitally to the customer by e-mail.

Circular economy

Our operational philosophy is based on renovating and upgrading equipment in use rather than replacing it with a brand new products. For over 30 years we have developed methods and concepts to optimize industrial equipment with regards to energy consumption, lifetime and reusability. 

To further develop as a company and maximize our sustainability work, we take part in a four-year research project, Mistra REES, where we together with several Swedish universities and eleven other companies with focus on circular economy and together develop concepts to support circular business models. We not only work to optimize ourselves but also our customers with the ambition to further improve their operations and processes with sustainability and circular economy in focus.

Ståthöga MA Teknik shall, by being a strong and flexible service partner, offer sales of products and performance of services in the form of sheet metal and beam structures as well as service and upgrading of equipment to the industrial maintenance market. Through this, companies and organizations offer solutions that provide safe operation and more environmental and economic savings, which leads to an improved overall economy.

We secure our offer through high competence and a strong commitment where we actively work with our operational risks to ensure a correct execution. Through good management of the competence in the business, we ensure the right competence in the right place.

We see legislation as the lowest level for our environmental and work environment work, where we also work preventively with optimization of our customers ‘equipment through our complete solutions, which generates a positive environmental impact and increases our customers’ environmental performance.

It is in the company’s interest to, while operating in good financial shape and with high quality goals, also maintain a high standard of our work environment and minimize the negative impact on the external environment.
